Billington’s Gingerbread has been loved by the farming community of North Shropshire for over 200 years. We are absolutely delighted that our delicious and spicy gingerbread biscuits are now on sale in the award winning and local farm shop, at Ford Hall Organic Farm, Market Drayton, Shropshire.

Community Owned

Fordhall Organic Farm is owned in its entirety by 8000 shareholders from across the UK, and indeed the world, under the umbrella organisation of The Fordhall Community Land Initiative and is an industrial and Provident Society with charitable status.

It has been England’s first community-owned farm since 2006.

Charlotte and Ben Hollins are tenants of the Fordhall Community Land Initiative. Ben lives in the farmhouse and manages the farmland and the livestock. The farm shop is a commercial business run by Ben, from which he pays the rent and derives his income.
